Theme: EQUIP THE YOUTHS, SAVE THE WORLD
  Date: 29th Nov. 2014 to 7th Dec. 2014
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a Rotary International  leadership development program that is organized to energize the next generation of young community leaders and provides them the ample opportunity to be trained, inspired, motivated and educated while also allowing them to connect with youths from other places, exchange ideas, and take action in their schools and communities. It is usually a week-long camp.

Who should be candidates?
Young adults between ages 14 and 25 with leadership ability and sense of communal service. The choice of candidates depends on Rotary Clubs and other sponsors but we hereby implore fairness and the need to truly look for candidates who can benefit from the training. Participants are however usually secondary school, university students, or young adults who are mentored by young professionals to become responsible leaders.

What are our goals?
Our major goal is to help in developing their leadership potentials and character while exposing them to Rotary’s values of selfless service, high ethical standards and the attainment of global peace. The physical drills help in instilling in them self-reliance and the ability to overcome any situation.

How will we measure our success?
In the past, our participants have proven to have really imbibed the ideals behind the program as many have successfully established their own small scale businesses and others who work in the corporate world are really making it in their various fields. We hope the next batch of Rylarians will have a’never to be forgotten’ experience that will impact very positively on their lives.
