As part of the activities lined up for the 2023 World Polio Day, the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie on Wednesday, October 25 led a team of the District Polio Committee and her core team on scheduled courtesy visit to the Osile Oke Ona Egba, His Royal Majesty, Past District Governor Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuosho at his Palace in Abeokuta.
 
 
The team equally visited the Hon Commissioner of Health , Ogun State , Dr Tomi Coker in her office at Oke-Imosan, Abeokuta.
The highlights of the visit was the Honorable Commissioner giving her pledge to join the Abeokuta Polio Awareness walk on Sunday and to equally follow up with the district’s request for partnership with the Government of Ogun State.
 
Symbolically, End Polio balloons were released into the air at the palace and the secretariat, Oke-Imosan to signify our determination to sustain the “End Polio” activities in our district.
 
 
In attendance were the Chair, District Polio Committe, PAG Raf Abanum, Vice Captain Hope Presidents for Ogun State, Rtn Dapo Sanni, PAG Adelakun, a member of Rotary Club of Oke-Ona Egba, a host of other Presidents, and many other Rotarians in Abeokuta axis.
 
In the same vein, the District Governor Elect, Rotary International, district 9112, Rtn. Femi Adenekan equally led another team which includes some members of the District Polio Committee and the Rotarians in Ikorodu on a visit to the palace of the Ayangbunren of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Shotobi.
 
 
The Kabiyesi in company of his Chiefs received the Rotarian visitors and pledged his support to the sustenance of the eradication of Polio in Nigeria and the world at large.
