Respected Comedian and Mediapreneur, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba joined other notable speakers for Rotary District 9110's Public Image seminar 2023.
 
 
The seminar themed ‘Telling Compelling Rotary Stories’ was organized by the Public Image Committee headed by Assistant Rotary Public Image Cordinator, Michael Effiong James and it was aimed at updating the knowledge of Presidents and Public Image Chairs of the over 100 Rotary clubs in Lagos and Ogun States.
 
Apart from Ali Baba, other speakers, who are experts in the media and marketing communications sphere were Dr. Ambrose Olutayo Somide, Managing Director, Radio Services at DAAR Communications Plc and the originator, Faaji FM., Wole Olagundoye, Managing Director, Outori Limited,  PAG Sam Ayetutu, Vice Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations ( NIPR) Lagos State Chapter and IPP Sola Akinsiku, General Secretary, Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN).

 
In the course of the Seminar, there was a goodwill message by PAG Ibim Semenitari, Rotary Public Image Coordinator  and Past District Governor Kola Sodipo, the District Learning Facilitator.
 
In her address, District Governor, Ifeyinwa Ejezie reaffirmed her commitment to promoting Rotary programmes and projects.
She called on clubs to have Public Image budgets and properly plan publicity around their projects as it will not only help to grow membership but also enhance contribution to The Rotary Foundation.
 
She said the theme of the Seminar was apt because Rotary Clubs the world over were doing great things including Ending Polio but we are not properly telling our story.
 
The various speakers showed in practical terms how Rotarians and Rotary Clubs can tell their stories more effectively and efficiently, and gave useful tips on planing and execution of Public Image plans.
 
In the same vein, participants were taken through the Rotary Brand Centre and showed the proper use of pictures and videos.
According to PP James, this is the first of four Seminars that would be held this year.

 
He also revealed that a Quarterly District Awards has been instituted to encourage Clubs to do the right thing.
The well-attended seminar had in attendance District leaders such as District Governor- Nominees, Wole Kukoye and Femi Adenekan, AG Ehi Braimah and others
