The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie has applauded Rotarv Club of Agege for delivering two key projects during her official visit to the club.

 
Ejezie noted that the 3-day free eye cataract surgery project where 42  members of the community will further shows the immense impact of Rotary.
       
Speaking on the eye project, President of the club, Bayo Oke noted that the project was originally planned for 15 beneficiaries but when the club saw the deluge of cases, it had to be expanded, he thanked members of the club for this.
The three-day eye cataract surgical mission which was carried out earlier in July, was originally intending for 15 beneficiaries, which was later extended to 42 beneficiaries. 
 
The Hope President of the club, Rotarian Bayo Oke while narrating the free eye cataract surgery experience, thanked members of the club as well as Rotarians: Dr. Niji Raji and Basirat Giwa for their immense contribution to the success of the project.
 
He narrated how the club restored the sight of a Junior Secondary School (JSS) 2 girl, Gift Kenneth who had dropped out of school as a result of her impairment and had dropped out of school by a result of her visual impairment.
 
Gift's mother who accompanied her for the presentation of new pair of glasses was full of gratitude to the Rotary Club and its members. She testified that Gift was now a happier girl as she can now see clearly with the eye glasses and had indeed returned to school.
 
The DG commended the club for coming to Gift’s aid and restoring her hope.
The club also gave out 12 Point of Sale ( POS) machines to 12 men and women in the community, while some of the beneficiaries were  small scale entrepreneurs who needed support, others were people who will use the machines as their means of livelihood. 
 
Among the club members present were Past District Governor Somo Omoniyi, Past District Governor and Past District Governor Kennedy Ejakpomewe.
The District Governor was accompanied on the visit by her team, Rotary International District 9111 Governor -elect, Femi Adenekan, Rotary International District 9111 and 9112 Governor- nominees, Henry Akinyele and Lanre Adedoyin.
