The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI has just unveiled a new signage and a statue at the Rotary Center building at Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

The Rotary Center building which currently serves Rotary International District 9110, comprising clubs in Lagos and Ogun states has been renamed after the Doyen of Past District Governors, Past District Governor Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi after a consensus by the council of Past District Governors.
 
The new signage displaying the Doyen's name was unveiled by the District Governor during a special Christmas Carol service held on Friday, December 9, 2022. A statue of the Doyen which was also mounted at the Rotary Center to honour him was also unveiled by the District Governor, as well as the roll of honour for those who contributed towards the signage.

A 'Rotary Center' signage was further unveiled at the entrance area of the center, by the main gate. Unveiling the signages and statue alongside the DG, was the Doyen, his spouse, and his son. Also present were other Past District Governors, district leaders, and guests of the Doyen.

That was not all as a new Rotary song book was also unveiled by the District Governor and copies of the book donated to Rotary clubs in the district. The song book which contains Rotary songs including a song composed by DG Lawson titled: 'Imagine Rotary'.
 
The fun filled Christmas carol was well attended by Rotarians and guests and special live performances were made by the Rota Kids. The DG also carried out a significant firework lighting exercise which symbolizes lighting up the environment for Christmas.
