No fewer than 20 petty traders in Iponri market, Lagos have benefited from Rotary Club of Iponri’s micro- credit scheme.
The club on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, disbursed a total sum of N500, 000 as revolving loan through the market women association to the women at N25, 000 each which will roll over in three months.
The cheque was presented to the women by the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie alongside the Club President, Rtn. Olusegun Adejo and other leaders of the club.
The District Governor who carried out the empowerment presentation exercise as part of the activities lined up during her official visit to the club, commended the club for empowering the women who require injection of funds to keep them in business so that they can continue to provide the needed support to their households.
