Rotary Club of Ijoko, District 9110 has provided a water borehole facility for Isokan Community in Ijoko, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The water facility was commissioned by the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie during her official visit to the club on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

The District Governor congratulated members of the community while charging them to ensure the water facility is well taken care of so that when the club members see it in years to come, it will still be in good shape; that way, the club will be motivated to do more projects for the community.

The club president, Rtn. Ganiyu Abogunloko, while narrating how he came about the project, revealed that the community suffered from lack of adequate water supply which prompted him to take up the water project as part of his projects for the Rotary year.

He also revealed that as a son of the soil, he believes that ‘charity begins at home’.

Expressing his satisfaction, the Chairman, Isokan Community Development Association, Mr. Andrew Bamgbose stated that he never thought he will witness such a project during his tenure.

He appreciated the club president, other members of the club as well as the District Governor for making such a day possible.
