Rotary Club of Lagos has emerged first position in the Rotary Information Awareness showcase for first half  2023-24 Rotary year organized by Rotary International, District 9110.
 
 
 
The Rotary district celebrated 2024 Rotary Information Awareness on Saturday 27 with a showcase at the Rotary Centre in Ikeja, Lagos which provided the Rotary clubs in the district the opportunity to display the projects they executed in the first half of the Rotary year and how the projects were publicized in the media.
 
The event which was hosted by the District Governor, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie through the Chairman of the Rotary Awareness Committee, Past President Funke Salau started with a panel discussion with our revered Past District Governors Dr. Wale Ogunbadejo, Bola Oyebade, Bola Onabadejo, and Kola Sodipo as the discussants and anchored by Past Assistant Governor Lanre Kasim.
 
 
The panel discussion was followed by the District Governor declaring open the booth were representatives from the various Rotary clubs in the district displayed the various projects they have done so far in the Rotary year, and were given the opportunity to present how far they went with publicizing those projects to the District Governor, and the Rotary Awareness Committee.
 
The District Awards and Recognition Committee were also present to evaluate each club’s performance and the results will be used in scoring them at the end of the Rotary year.
 
 
At the end of the event, awards were presented to the top three clubs with respect to their performance in the area of awareness creation in the first half of the Rotary club.
 
Rotary Club of Lagos emerged first position, Rotary Club of Ijoko emerged second position, while Rotary Club of Ikeja emerged third position.
Certificates were also presented to all the Rotary clubs that participated.
