Rotary Club of Lekki Phase One, District 9110 as part of its activities for the District Governor’s official visit to the club on Thursday, August 24, 2023, has given hope to some members of its community
 
 
The club led by the Club President, Mike Jaga donated five sewing machines to Friends of The Disabled (FOTD) Vocational Centre, Ojo Oba, Lagos, a charity organization which focuses on providing economic and financial empowerment for the physically challenged through skill acquisition.
The sewing machines were formally presented to the beneficiaries by the District Governor, Rotary International, District9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie on behalf of the club.
 
The sewing machines will be added to the other learning tools in the centre and used to train some of the physically challenged students in the centre.
Mr Vigil Anyanwu, Trustee, Friends of Disabled who received the machines on behalf of the centre along with some of the students expressed his gratitude to the club for the support which will go a long way in adding value to the lives of the students.

One new Rotarian was inducted into the club by the District Governor while some others were decorated with The Rotary Foundation pins for their various contributions to the foundation.
