In continuation of its desire to impact its community, Rotary Club of Akowonjo has donated assorted items to Little Saints Orphanage. The donation was made when the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie visitee the Club on Monday, September 18, 2023.
The club led by the Club President, Rtn. Dr. Esther Sam-Amoye leveraged on the District Governor’s visit to reach out and put smiles on the faces of these children. Food stuffs such as cartons of noodles, rice, filled cooking gas cylinder, among other items were donated to the home by the club.
Mrs. Mayen Famous, Member, Board of Trustees for the home who received the donated items on behalf of the home appreciated the club for the donation which has become an annual tradition of the club carried out every Rotary year.
The club members further led the District Governor on a tour around Krown Hospital facility in Akowonjo which is owned by a member of the club, Dr. Olukayode Akinlade.
The tour was part of the District Governor’s official visit to the club.
