Rotary Club of Akute under the leadership of the Club President, Rtn. Benedict Ajike has just commissioned newly renovated block of six toilet rooms, water facility and also two other block of classrooms, one of which was renovated in collaboration with Access Bank in December 2023.
The club also unveiled a new location for club meetings and other club activities. The Club President, during the commissioning ceremony, revealed that the club has always wanted a better and more conducive location it can call its own within the same Akute environment. Therefore, he took it upon himself to ensure this dream comes to past during his tenure as club president.
The new location was launched with a cutting of cake and 5 new Rotarians were formally inducted into the club by the District Governor.
The facilities were formally commissioned by the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Also present at the commissioning ceremony was the District Executive Secretary, PAG Tayo Adelaja, Chief of Staff to the DG, AG Ezinne Obioha, PA to the DG, PP (Dr) Laurine Ubanozie, as well as Assistant Governor to the club, Rtn. Kole Jagun.
