Rotary Club of Gbagada, one of the over 140 Rotary clubs in the District has just carried out several projects in a single day.
The club under the leadership of the Club President, Olubunmi Oguntade leveraged on the official visit of the District Governor, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie to the club on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 to carry out the projects.
 
 
The club members started the day with a visit to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos where the District Governor met with the hospital's Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, who incidentally is a member of the club.
During the visit, the club donated some medical items such as drugs, mosquito nets, among other items.
 
The Rotaract Club of Gbagada was not left out too. Led by the President, Idris Yusuf, the Club partnered with the Rotary club to donate bedspreads to the hospital. The club further donated mosquito nets to Soluyi community in Gbagada as well as a Rotary signage, which it mounted in collaboration with Tripple Gee and Company Plc.
 
 
DG Ejezie commended the club for the projects which she described as highly impactful.
Prof. Fabamwo on his part thanked the club for the partnership which has led to the club carrying out various projects in the hospital over the years, adding that on account of the interventions, he was proud to be a Rotarian. He assured the Rotarians that the drugs will be distributed to patients for free.
 
The unveiling exercise at Soluyi Community roundabout was witnessed by the Vice Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Hon Oluwole Sosanya who represented the Local Government Chairman, widows and members of the Community Development Association smile home with the mosquito nets.
