Rotary Club of Ikeja under the leadership of Hope President Emeka Ibe has empowered petty traders in Isolo market with a total no-interest microcredit sum of N500,000 under its annual Microcredit Working Capital Fortification Scheme.
The club also empowered graduates of the Nigerian Airforce Officers Wives Association (NAFOWA) Vocational Training Centre with startup tools, as well as a young lady in the community .
Items presented include Hair-dryers, Sewing Machines, Gas Cookers, HP rinter, 25 kg Gas Cylinder, and Gas Weighing Scales.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries alongside the Club President on Monday, July 3, 2023 was District Governor Ifeyinwa Ejezie during on her official visit to the club, accompanied by members of her core team.
DG Ejezie commended the club members for taking it upon themselves to always reach out to these beneficiaries every year, while urging the beneficiaries to make sure the donations serve the purpose they are meant to serve.
Members of the club including the Doyen of Past District Governor, PDG Julius Adelusi-Adelusi were present to witness the occasion.
Also present was the District Governor Elect, District 9111, Dr. Wole Kukoyi and also District Governor Elect, District 9112, Femi Adenekan.
