Traders Petty traders in Ikeja and its environs have benefited from Rotary Club of Ikeja South's micro-credit grant for small businesses.
The club which is one of the Rotary clubs under the umbrella of Rotary International, District 9110 which covers all Rotary clubs in Lagos and Ogun states,e reached out to support petty traders in the community with funds to sustain their businesses. A cheque of N50, 000 each was presented to 9 petty traders on Thursday, August 3, 2023 by the District Governor, Ifeyinwa Ejezie alongside the Club President, Durotimi Adeboye
Other members of the club present at the cheque presentation exercise were Past District Governor Remi Bello, Past District Secretary Azuh Arinze, and Past Chief of Staff, PAG Antonia Taiwo. The District Governor expressed satisfaction for the project, specially praising one of the beneficiaries, Omobolanle James who is a junior staff of the Rotary Centre, in Ikeja.
The DG commended the club members for particularly considering the Rotary Centre staff as one of the beneficiaries, adding that this goes to show that Rotary members also take care of their own.
