Members of Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metropolitan gave a rousing welcome to one of their own- District Governor Ifeyinwa Ejezie on her official DG visit to the club which happens to be her home club.
 
The club leveraged on the DG’s visit to organize a talk on Mental Health. The Guest Speaker, Dr. Dapo Adegbaju, a Consultant Psychiatrist with Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria spoke elaborately with the Rotarians and guests on types and causes of mental health disorders.
The club also presented a cheque to 20 indigent students of Wahab Folawiyo Senior High School in Ikoyi, Lagos for the payment of their JAMB and WAEC fees.

The cheque was received on behalf of the students, by the School Principal, Mr. Amoo Olufemi alongside Mr Bolaji Ajayi who represented the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary, Education District III, Dr. Idowu Oyetola.
The District Governor who presented the cheque to the School Principal on behalf of the club, admonished him to ensure the money serves the purpose for which it is being given.
 
DG Ejezie also commended the club for organizing a talk on mental health as that is one of the focus areas of Rotary International this Rotary year which is directed towards ensuring that Rotarians take care of themselves while taking care of others.
The District Governor said she was delighted to be with her club since the assumption of office as the District Governor of Rotary International, District 9110 on July 1, 2023.
 
 
She thanked the club for the warm reception and commended the club’s workbook describing it as the best so far, while urging them not to relent in their humanitarian efforts.
 
On her part, the Club President, Kemi Folorunsho who was accompanied by her spouse, Mr Folorunsho expressed her delight to serve as the Club President of the District Governor and also as the Class Captain of Hope Presidents for this Rotary year.
She assured the DG of the club’s unwavering support throughout this Rotary year.
