The Change Maker District Governor Remi Bello, FCA on Friday, August 13 joined the Change Maker President, Rotary Club of Isolo, Raji Tejumola Taiwo and other members of the club including the Doyen of the club, Past District Governor Olawale Cole on an inspection tour round the premises of Isolo Vocational Center, a center established by the club to train and empower the less privileged and indigent members of Isolo community and its environs.
The vocational centre, a major empowerment project of the club is aimed at taking women, men, and the youths away from the streets while empowering them with vocational skills through which they can earn a living and support members of their family.
A pre-graduation ceremony was conducted for the first graduating set of the vocational trainees and the club also empowered them with capital tools in their various vocational skills which they acquired at the center.
While some were trained in hair dressing and given hair dressing tools, others were trained in fashion designing and also empowered with sewing machines.
This is just one of the many ways Rotary Club of Isolo is reaching out to members of the community.
