Rotary Club of Lagos West has supported indigent men and women in their community with assorted equipment for their businesses.

This is not the first time the club will be executing such empowerment project as a similar project was carried out last Rotary year during the official visit of the Immediate Past District Governor who is also a member of the club.

Under the leadership of the Club President, Rotarian Omolara Akinsanya, the Club gave out four grinding machines and two sewing machines to six indigent men and women in the community.

These items were formally presented to the beneficiaries during the official visit of the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie to the club on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

The DG who was accompanied on the visit by members of her team applauded the club for continuously touching lives in the community.

She however charged the beneficiaries to ensure the tools are effectively used to serve the purpose they are given and to ensure they are sustained, while admonishing them to also spread the good deeds of the club wherever they go.

Two of the beneficiaries, Mrs Babalola Olanike and Mr Ogunleye Olukayode who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated the club for the providing them with tools with which they can earn a living and take care of their families.
One new female Rotarian was also inducted by the District Governor into the club during the club fellowship.
