Rotary Club of Maryland has donated delivery kits to pregnant women in Onigbongbo Primary Healthcare Centre in Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria.
 
 
 
The President of the club, Rotarian Victor Anosike and some members of the club on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 led District Governor Ifeyinwa Ejezie who was on her official visit to the club to the health centre were 25 delivery kits were donated amidst cheers. The delivery kit, we gathered, contained pureperal pad, unbiblical cord clamp, disposable pants, ferrous and folate tablets.
 
 
That was not all, the Club also donated anti-shock garments, drugs, standing blood pressure machine, Infrared thermometer, HIV kits, and RDT kits test for malaria detection. It also erected a Rotary-branded billboard at the health centre.
The Club also organized an ante-natal talk for the pregnant women, anchored by a member of the club, Dr Ibitomilayo Omololu.
 
Witnessing the exercise were Rotary International District 9111 Governor Nominee, Rtn Henry Akinyele and Past Rotary District 9110 Governor, Rtn Bola Oyebade who are both members of the club, the Medical Officer of Health as well as the Supervisor for Health, Mr George Igbafe.
 
 
DG Ejezie who was accompanied on the visit by her team members such as District Secretary, Tayo Adelaja congratulated the pregnant women while admonishing the health officials to ensure the equipment donated are efficiently and carefully used.
 
Officer In Charge of the Centre, Nurse Oladepo Oluwatosin delivered a vote of thanks to Rotarians on behalf of the centre.
The Rotarians were also appreciated by one of the beneficiaries, Mrs Morenikeji Adebayo on behalf of the rest.
 
 
 
 
Three new members (two males and one female) were also officially inducted into the club by the DG during the club fellowship
