Rotary Club of Mende Midtown, District 9110 has commissioned a newly renovated science laboratory in Mende Junior High School in Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria.

Commissioning the lab which has been renovated and fully equipped by the club on Friday, August 25, 2023 was the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie alongside the Club President, Richard Edi.
The commissioning was witnessed by Mr Adegbemile Idowu, Director, Lagos State Educational District 2 and Mrs Oli Aderonke, the Principal, Mende Junior High School, Maryland.
 
 
The Science Teacher Miss Gbadamosi Halimot assured the club that the lab will be used carefully and efficiently.
The club didn’t end there, they further led the District Governor to Wasimi Primary Health Centre also in Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria.
While medical drugs, weighing scale, tissue papers, examination gloves, bottle water, and some other items were donated to the health centre, delivery kits were distributed to pregnant women in the centre.
 
Receiving the donated items was the Officer in Charge of the Centre, Mrs Ojo O. C.
The projects executed by the club were carried out in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Queensland led by the Club President, Rotaractor Sherifat Umar.
