Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA has just beefed up security in Ogudu, Ojota in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State with the donation of solar system and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras also known as surveillance cameras.
 
 
The Club President, Rotarian Prince Shonde and some members of the club, on Monday, July 14, 2023 led the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie and members of her team to Ogudu Police Station where the security-focused gadgets were officially presented to the police station. 
 
DG Ejezie commended the club for carrying out the needs assessment of the community and finding it worthy to provide the security surveillance equipment and the solar system that will power it and ensure it is always on.
 
The Divisional Police Officer, CSP Akande R. Ajike, Ogudu Police Division while receiving the items on behalf of the police officers in the division, noted that the security cameras will go a long way in curbing crime in Ogudu and its environs. She also assured the Rotarians that the cameras will be closely monitored and observed.
 
 
The club also led the District Governor on a courtesy visit to the President, Ogudu GRA Association, Mrs Kayte Ikhinmwin and carried out a tree planting activity along Ogudu GRA Association Road.
 
 
The club further led the District Governor to Little Saints Orphanage Home, Ogudu where a sum of N200, 000 was presented to the Home Administrator, Mrs Dominica as welfare support to the home. 
 

 
The District Governor was accompanied on the visit by District Secretary Tayo Adelaja, Chief of Staff Ezinne Obioha. Also present was Past District Governor, Dr. Jide Akeredolu who is also a member of Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA.
