The neo-natal ward built by Rotary Club of Omole Golden and the other facilities donated for the ward has helped to reduce infant mortality in the community.
 
 
This disclosure was made by Dr. Awobusuyi Omotayo who represented the Medical Director of Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital, Dr Mustapha Bamidele during the presentation of materials by the Club to the hospital.
In her words " I wish to thank Rotary Club of Omole-Golden for all they have have done for us. I must state that infant mortality has reduced drastically following the donation of the fully equipped neo- natal ward by the club.
 
Also speaking, Head of Pediatrics, Dr Adegoke Akande thanked the Club immensely for its effort noting that  the hospital can now accomodate more patients and offer quality health care.
In continuation of its support, the club also presented delivery bags to pregnant women during the visit of the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Ifeyinwa Ejezie to the club on Friday, August 4, 2023.
 
 
According to the Club President, Rotarian Veronica Isijola the donations were done after a careful needs assessment by the club.
The delivery bags, 2 for each pregnant woman came fully loaded with delivery and baby kits such as diapers, napkin hangers, and maternity towels.
New mothers who had just been delivered of their babies were also not left out as some of them won prices for themselves after giving correct answers in a quiz competition organized by the club.
 
The District Governor expressed her delight to see such a huge project carried out by one of the Rotary clubs in the district. 
 
She charged the hospital management to ensure that the equipment donated by the club were deployed on patients free of charge as that is the motive behind the gesture by Rotarians.
 
She also admonished the recipients of the donated items to use them judiciously. Rotaract Club of Omole Golden led by the President, Rotaractor Esther Adebari also keyed into the project and donated some gift bags. 
Hospital staff were also appreciated with gifts for their dedication and outstanding service by the Club.
 
 
The club had earlier in the day, presented a micro finance loan of N2million to small scale entrepreneurs in the community as business support.
One of the micro finance beneficiaries, Mr Akinola, a visually impaired entrepreneur who makes handcrafted bags presented one of his products to the District Governor as a gift.
