Rotary International, District 9110, is gearing up to host the very first Rotary Sports Festival, known as ROSFEST.

The official unveiling of the ROSFEST logo took place during a vibrant press briefing ceremony on Friday, October 27, 2023. District Governor Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie and Past President Alozie Nsirimobi, Chairman of the Rotary Sports and Fellowship Committee, led the event.

In her address, District Governor Ejezie explained that this unique committee, a first of its kind in the district, was established to prioritize the well-being of Rotarians. She emphasized the importance of Rotarians finding time to relax and care for their own mental health amid their busy schedules and Rotary commitments.

She stated, "This provides us with an opportunity to unwind, have fun, and address our mental well-being. It's being organized for the first time this Rotary year, and I believe that in the future, other District Governors, not only in Nigeria but globally, will embrace this concept."
She also mentioned that planning is already underway, with clubs soon to conduct draws to determine their opponents in the festival.

The Chairman of the committee added that their vision extends beyond the district level, aiming to elevate the festival to an All-Nigeria Districts Sports Festival (NIGFEST), then to the zones as AFRIFEST, and eventually to Rotary International.
The ROSFEST will encompass a variety of sports, including football, scrabble, golf, volleyball, lawn tennis, basketball, draught, ayo, tug of war, and other entertaining games.
