Rotary International District 9110 and The Girl Child Matrix, a global non-profit advocacy platform have commemorated the ‘2023 International Day of the Girl Child’ with a prize presentation ceremony for winners of the inter-school social media campaign competition tagged: 'The Teen DG Competition' organized for Interact clubs in Lagos and Ogun states.

The President, Interact Club of Ajuwon High School, Interactor Pamilerin Olorunyomi came tops having made the video with the most impactful content, as well as highest likes and engagement.

Interactor Hafsah Zafaran, a member of Interact Club of New Era Girls Secondary School clinched the second position.



The prizes were formally presented to the winners by the District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Rtn. Ifeyinwa Ejezie alongside The Girl Child Matrix Country Director who is also a Rotarian, Gbenga Ojo and his team which include Rtn. Abiodun Oshinibosi.



Also present were the District Secretary, Rtn. Tayo Adelaja and the Chief of Staff, Rtn. Ezinne Obioha, members of the two Interact clubs and their teachers.

The winner who was accompanied by her mother and members of her sponsoring Rotary club- Rotary Club of Omole Golden led by the Club President, Rtn. Veronica Isijola got a cash prize of N100, 000 and was also decorated by the District Governor with a special customized Teen DG lapel pin, the second position got a cash prize of N25, 000 while all top ten participants got vouchers that guarantees participation at the forthcoming Rotary Youths Leadership Academy (RYLA) scheduled for January 2024.
 
The winner was also given the opportunity to sit on the District Governor's sit at the Rotary Centre office where she was pictured with the District Governor and other Rotarians present.
