Traders from Sandgrouse Market, Lagos Island have been presented with a microcredit facility of N1, 000, 000 by the Rotary Club of Lagos as part of the club’s annual economic empowerment scheme.

The club under the leadership of Hope President Abiodun Role leveraged on the official visit of District Governor Ifeyinwa Ejezie and members of her team to the club on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 to present the no-interest loan to beneficiaries through the Traders' association.
This micro credit scheme is an age-long practice in the club which is the first Rotary club in Nigeria.
 
 
 
The club members also celebrated their emergence as the best club in the District last Rotary year by displaying their award plaques and trophies to the admiration of all present.
 
 
 
 
The District Governor congratulated the club while urging them to do more this Rotary year in the area of The Rotary Foundation, Membership and Public Image. Also present as part of the DG’s team were District 9111 Governor-elect, Dr. Wole Kukoyi, District 9112 Governor-elect, Femi Adenekan, as well as District 9112 Governor Nominee, Lanre Adedoyin.
