A Rotary wheel cenotaph was on Monday, September 28, unveiled by Rotary Club of Surulere North-East, District 9110 in Obele Community High School, Surulere, Lagos.

The cenotaph was unveiled by the District Governor, Bola Oyebade alongside the Club President, Oluwatosin Alfred-Kemepado, district leaders and other members of the club.

The club in addition to promoting the image of Rotary with the cenotaph, also planted some trees within the school premises. Certain human activities pollute our environment which deteriorates, thereby leaving our environment in a state of degradation.

The Rotary club has dedicated part of its focus on saving the ecosystem and to achieve this, Rotary clubs worldwide are engaging in tree planting which is one of the major ways our friendly and habitable environment can be sustained.
Rotary Club of Surulere North-East under the umbrella of Rotary International, District 9110 is not left out of this as the club once again contributed its quota by planting trees in Obele Community High School premises.

Joining the club members in the tree planting activity was the District Governor, Bola Oyebade and the other district leaders who accompanied him on the visit.
